Outstanding Community Service

Purpose

The purpose of this award is to recognize outstanding contributions of religious institutions, service agencies and organizations, civic clubs, governmental departments that have made positive contributions to the lives of older people.

Selection of Recipient(s):

  1. Each state may have one community service agency honored per year with this award.
  2. The following criteria will be used to rank nominations.


  3. 20 percent - the level of importance of the issue the program is designed to address
    15 percent - creativity
    15 percent - level of resources devoted to program
    30 percent - effectiveness in meeting objectives
    20 percent - extent to which experience can provide guidance to other organizations

  4. The Awards/Elections Committee will make the decision and notify AAA submitting nomination.
